Loyalist or Patriot. By this time, I think we all know

I often wonder about the founding fathers of this country and how scary and brave they had to be to make the decisions that they made and to fight for what they felt was right. I think about my ancestors and family members that have sacrificed it all for our freedoms for us to line up at Starbucks every day, only to hide from an enemy that spares 99% of its victims.

Each day I think about the WWI and WWII veterans and the citizens of our country and how they unified to fight and defeat the “enemy”, strong and unwavering and I wonder where that fire and that desire has gone?

I am also thankful each day that there was no such thing as the Loyalists we have today back in the early 1900s or 1940s. If there were, this world would be much different. Instead of running and hiding from a 99% survivable virus, they had to face a real monster. A monster that threatened to change humanity forever. That monster was eradicating millions of innocent people and unlike the enemy we face today. The survivability rate for those victims was 0%.

You couldn’t hide behind a paper mask, a face shield, or mandate a jab to steer clear of that enemy. Had the Loyalists that live and run this country today been in charge back then, there is a pretty good chance that we would not be here today. There would be no Facebook or Twitter to censor you. No BLM to try to brainwash you into thinking that you are a racist.

I am far from a Loyalist. I relish the fact that this mess has confirmed more than any other time in my life that the blood that runs through my veins is Patriot blood. Freedom is a great motivator. I don’t need the government to take care of me. I don’t need unnecessary mandates to keep the fearful Loyalists “safe.” Let us live life and make decisions as free individuals, just as the founding fathers of this country desired. Living in fear is not in my DNA.

Nothing makes us more uncomfortable than fear. And we have so many fears: fear of pain, disease, injury, failure, not being accepted, missing an opportunity, and being scammed, to name a few. Fear invokes the flight or fight system, and our first reaction is often to flee back to our comfort zone. If we don’t know the way back, we are likely to follow whoever shows us a path, even if they are more fearful than we are.

But fear can also paralyze — the classic “deer in headlights” syndrome. Our Government is using fear to push people towards the jab and keep you dependant on them. “If you don’t cover your face, you’ll die!” “If you don’t take the jab, you’ll die!” Fear can work to motivate, but usually only for the benefit of the person using it against you.

There is going to come a time during this mess that you have to choose. You have to decide, are you a Loyalist or Patriot? Will you live in fear of an enemy that may slow you down one time in your life and is 99% survivable, or is your fear so paralyzing that you need a Government and everyone around you to protect you and show you the path out of this mess, no matter the cost? I don’t live in fear and I hope that you will join me. I choose freedom!
